Rose 101 : David Austin Roses - Princess Alexandra of Kent (PAOK)

So today I'm gonna add another new rose family member of mine. That is David Austin Rose - ID : Princess Alexandra of Kent. Hardy and strong fragrance rose. The flower kind of large. I bought it the next day after Bishop Castle. Price is RM35 per pot.

PAOK already blooming when i bought it on 24.4.15. The flower looks damage a little due to rain. 

The color lighten slightly after a really hot day. I repot on 3.5.15 thrn only then new shoots are coming out.

Alright, today I'm going to introduce my new rose family member. David Austin Rose - ID : Bishop Castle. Hardy and strong fragrance rose. I bought it at kak Salwani Suhadzri Nursery at Saujana Utama. The price is RM40 per pot. But if you can't go the nursery, it can be send by postage add rm10 or cash on delivery too.

Still a bud when I first bought it. Bought on 23.4.15

After 6 days.. it began blooming. 29.4.15

On the next day, 30.4.15

Bishop castle fully blooms on 1.5.15. The flower quite big and have a really strong fragrance. 

  

The most diligent rose I owned so far. Very generous.

Rose 101 : Common Pests for Roses ( Spider Mite, White Fly & Thrips )

Hi there, 

I have bad news for my roses. Infested by Thrips, Spidermites and Aphids too. Oh gosh. What to do? I have read somewhere and some Rosarian did advice me to water blast the front and under leaves. 

My rose bud infected by Thrips. :(
